Gorgeous statement necklace made all from acai seeds - wild harvested, polished, hand drilled and dyed by Amazon artisans. These necklaces are made in Belem by female artisans whose lives improved greatly after they started working with eco-jewelry, they now have clients all over the world. In honor to these artisans and the forest I named this big necklace: Samauma, the queen of the forest.

"Considered sacred to many indigenous peoples of Brazil, Samauma's canopy projects above all other trees, serving as shelter and protection for other species of flora and countless birds and insects.

Its roots are capable of absorbing water from the depths of the Amazon soil, hydrating not only it, but other trees of different species. In specific periods, when the roots reach a certain level of humidity, the tree releases this excess and irrigates its entire surroundings.

These characteristics earned her the nicknames Queen of the Forest, Mother Tree, Tree of Life and many others."

Care: These are natural seeds, water and sun may make their colors dull (they will still be pretty), Please use clear beeswax based balms to polish them if needed.

As each bead is a seed, and is designed by Mother Nature herself and they are hand drilled, there are variations in shape, size and color from bead to bead.

Açaí - (Pronounced: Ah-si-ee) the region of harvest is mostly northern Brazil. The berries are harvested with no harm to the trees.
