Brazilian Clay - MISFIT COLORS

$ 2.50

All my clay is natural occurring and sustainably harvested in river beds. I work with a few larger producers that harvest from areas that are very consistent in color, but I also like to give smaller harvesters a chance and end up with beautiful different colors. I call them my MISFIT CLAY!

Super limited quantities.

Gray-licious - Very fine clay (grains are smaller, clay is denser, and easier to mix into other products), it looks lighter than my regular gray but when mixed with a liquid it becomes a little darker, it also has a light blue tint to it.

Dark and Light Gray are very self explanatory, my Green-Gray has a different texture, not as smooth as my other clay and very "sticky", I think it would look great in soaps but not for masks.

Clay has been used for centuries for cosmetic use and are present in many traditional beauty regimens.

Clay has several cosmetic and therapeutic properties: anti aging, antioxidant, drying, astringent, reconstructive, antiseptic and detoxifying among others.
They can be applied to the face, body and even hair. In the latter case, it controls oiliness and dandruff of the scalp.

They also can be used as a 100% natural colorant for soaps and lotions.

Some of the most popular uses are:

  • facial and body masks and scrubs

  • soap making

  • balms to alleviate skin conditions, burns and insect bites

  • body wraps

  • bath salts

  • body powders

Cosmetic clay are made up of different mineral contents and each clay type has a different effect on the skin. Regular use of clay facials will remove dead skin cells, improve circulation to the skin, remove debris from the pores and bring about a smooth healthy glow.
