Cupuacu Butter 1 - Amazonas
$ 7.00
Chica carries cupuacu butters from 2 different producers. Unrefined fats may vary in color, scent and texture depending on time of the year and area the seeds are harvested (chemical composition is the same). I have found two producers with very high quality cupuacu, so I decided to give my customers the change to try both of them!
Cupuacu 1 - off white, smooth, chocolate scented. Perfect for fans of cocoa butter.
Cupuacu 2 - yellow-ish, with a fresher, fruitier scent.
To try both of them check out our Cupuacu Butter Sampler - 1 oz. of each.
SUMMERTIME WARNING: These butters may melt during shipping, please watch this video on how to fix it!

Cupuacu is a close cousin to the cacao plant, the trees and fruits are similar, cupuacu has a richer pulp and is more popular for straight consumption or in the making of ice creams and sweets in general. Chocolate can also be made from cupuacu - we call it "cupulate". Cupuacu butter is softer, therefore easier to use and offers more benefits than the cocoa butter.
Cupuacu butter has very high water absorption capacity (over 200% greater than lanolin). Due to its capacity for water absorption and the ability to obstruct the evaporation of moisture from the skin, Cupuaçu butter can restore the hair and skin's natural humidity and elasticity.
