Rainforest Chica is now carrying cupuacu butters from 2 different producers. Unrefined fats may vary in color, scent and texture depending on time of the year and area the seeds are harvested (chemical composition is the same). I have found two producers with very high quality cupuacu, so I decided to give my customers the change to try both of them! This listing is a change for you to decide for yourself you like best.
Cupuacu 1- the one I have been carrying for the past year, light yellow, smooth, chocolate scented. Perfect for fans of cocoa butter.
Cupuacu 2- darker yellow, a bit granulated (not hard granules) with a fresher, fruitier scent.
*The Amazonian butters and oils have been tested by generations of rainforest's indigenous and ribeirinho people. They are used for cooking, baking, healing, moisturizing and protecting against the elements.
When we consume Amazonia's sustainable, non-timber-products, we give the local people an alternative to logging and farming which are the two largest responsible factors of the deforestation of such an important ecosystem.
