Our beads are made from wild harvested material, they are polished, hand drilled and dyed by Amazonian artisans. As each bead is a seed or part of a shell, designed by Mother Nature herself and hand worked, there are variations in shape, size and color from bead to bead.
These necklacesare made in Belem by Luciene, a self employed female artisan who comes from a long line of artisans. The mandala come from an indigenous tribe in Maranhao.
Care: These are natural material, water and sun may make their colors dull (they will still be pretty), Please use clear beeswax based balms, or a light oil to polish them if needed.
Every time we consume Amazon sustainable products we give the local and indigenous people an alternative to logging and farming which are the two largest destroyers of such an important ecosystem.
