You may not know it yet but you need to try this Amazonia resin. The scent is fresh, exotic and deeply involving. You don't even need to burn it, just keep a pouch around and take a sniff when you need a dose of forest energy.
Extraction Method: cut in the trunk of the tree - sustainable extraction.
Part of plant used: resin.
Quality: 100% pure and natural, virgin.
Country of origin: Brazil - sustainably wild harvested.
Appearance: solid, porous, pieces vary from powder to many inches.
Color: Varies from darker gray to very light gray.
Smell: Aromatic - fresh - balsamic.
The resin consists of a large number of monoterpenes, such as α-pyrene (10.5%), limonene (16.9%), α-phellandrene (16.7%) and terpinolene (28.5%). Due to its aromatic property, the resin is widely used in perfumes and toiletries as well as in soap manufacturing. The limonene, present in the resin of breu-branco, is a common component in fragrances and essences.
ATTENTION: This is not Breu Branco essential oil, a blend or an extract. It is the pure resin of the tree, solid.
"Breu-Branco" - white Breu, it is a resin from an Amazon tree, in the US it is virtually unknown but in Brazil it is used by perfume companies and can be distilled as an essential oil. It is been called the "Brazilian frankincense" for its similar uses and properties.
Breu Branco has been used by forest populations for centuries for its healing and protective properties.
Many different Amazonia indigenous tribes burn it in religious ceremonies and for keeping insects away.
It is also used for its aromatic scent with calming and concentrating properties.
USES:
So far I have used it ground in scrubs and a soap I made (as seen in the picture). It can be carried in your purse or put in your drawers (inside a little muslin bag) for it's forest scent. You can use it as incense to cleanse and bring clarity.
Powder: Coloring and scenting soaps, masks, scrubs.
